On the basis of a power of attorney
Upon requesting an extract from the Criminal Record, the foreigner may also authorize another person. For example, if you are interested in entrusting our law firm in this matter, we will draw up a power of attorney and the client’s signature must be verified with a notary.
However, when requesting an extract from the Criminal Record on the basis of a power of attorney, the foreigner’s passport must be presented (a certified copy is not sufficient).
Apostille of the Criminal Record
If the Certificate of no Criminal Record was issued in Slovakia and the foreigner needs to use it abroad, it is necessary to proceed with the higher verification – apostille or superlegalisation. It depends on the country where you submit the document.
Following higher verification, the document is translated into a foreign language by an official translator. If you are interested in an apostille of the Certificate of No Criminal Record, deliver the original to our office and we will ensure its verification and official translation. This process currently takes approximately 7 days.
