Answer:
Termination of Temporary Residence During an Emergency Situation
In the Slovak Republic, an emergency situation has been declared since February 26, 2022, due to the war in Ukraine, which is currently ongoing. Link to official information
According to Section 131k, paragraph 1 of Act No. 404/2011 Coll. on the Residence of Foreigners (hereinafter referred to as the “Act on Residence of Foreigners”): “The validity of temporary residence, permanent residence, or tolerated residence, which would otherwise expire during the emergency situation declared in connection with the mass influx of foreigners to the territory of the Slovak Republic caused by the armed conflict in the territory of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as the “emergency situation”), is extended until two months after the revocation of the emergency situation. This does not apply to a third-country national whose application for renewal of temporary residence has been denied. In connection with the extension of residence validity under the previous sentence, the police department, with the consent of the Ministry of Interior, will issue, upon request of the third-country national, a residence document with validity specified by a particular date, if needed to carry out the purpose of the stay.”
