Slovakia Work Permit Requirements for Indian Citizens

My wife received a letter from a Slovak company for a production job. Unfortunately, the number of applications in India is huge, leading to significant delays. Can your law firm process a Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) remotely in our absence, so we can proceed with our plans to move to Slovakia soon?

Answer

A foreigner must submit the residence permit application in person at a diplomatic mission or at the police in Slovakia (if they are authorized to stay legally in Slovakia). Generally, representation is not allowed for the purpose of submitting the application. There are only a few exceptions when the application can be submitted by a representative (e.g., incapacity).
