Temporary residence of an alien – local jurisdiction in the territory of the Slovak republicTemporary residence is equipped according to residence property, at which the applicant should have a temporary residence. (hereinafter only “police department”).
Application for a temporary residence submits a third-country national personally at a police department, if legitimately resides in the territory of the Slovak republic (legal representation is not possible). Application shall be submitted on an official form.
Applicant is required to submit with an application:
- valid travel document
- two photographs measuring 3 x 3, 5 cm showing actual appearance
- stamp worth € 232 + € 4.50 for issuing a certificate
- the following documents not older than 90 days:
- if it is a functioning limited company (hereinafter only “Ltd.”), must be attached (i) certificate of incorporation and (ii) the minutes of the general assembly of Ltd. with verified signatures of shareholders on the establishment of the applicant for the manager of Ltd. as soon as he will be granted residence in the Slovak republic, otherwise is submitted a business plan
- if the applicant is the owner of an apartment in the Slovak republic, shall submit extract from the title deed applicable for legal acts (not sufficient from the Internet)
- criminal records certificate from the mother country as well as from the country where he stayed for more than 90 days during the last six months three years back. The listings must be apostilled and officially translated into Slovak language by Slovak translator.
- confirmation of the account balance kept in a bank in the name of the applicant confirming the financial security of at least 12 times of the living wage (€ 189.09), i.e. at least € 2,270
- confirmation of the balance of the business account maintained at the corporate name of Ltd. confirming the financial security of at least 100 times of the living wage (€ 189.09 ), i.e. at least € 18,909
The police department shall grant temporary residence for the purpose of business for the estimated time of business but not exceeding three years.
Application for a temporary residence for the purpose of family reunification (for the spouse of an alien)
Applicant is required to submit with an application:
- valid travel document
- two photographs measuring 3 x 3, 5 cm displaying actual appearance
- stamp worth € 132.50 + € 4.50 for issuing a certificate
- the following documents not older than 90 days:
- marriage certificate apostilled and translated into the Slovak language by Slovak translator
- criminal records certificate of the mother country and of the country where the person remains more than 90 days during the last 6 months three years back. The listings must be apostilled and officially translated into the Slovak language by Slovak translator.
- if the applicant is the owner of an apartment in the territory of the Slovak republic, shall submit extract from the title deed applicable for legal acts (not sufficient from the Internet). If the owner is only husband, shall submit the declaration of honour that will provide wife accommodation during the stay or for an unlimited time.
- confirmation of account balance kept in a bank in the name of spouse confirming the financial security of at least 12 times of the living wage (€ 189.09), i.e. at least € 2,270 per person (i.e. required is twice for 2 persons). In this case is also required the declaration of honour of husband that will secure the wife financially and materially during the stay in the territory of the Slovak republic.
Application for a temporary residence for the purpose of family reunification (for the child of an alien)
Applicant is required to submit with the application:
- valid travel document
- two photographs measuring 3 x 3, 5 cm displaying actual appearance
- stamp worth € 4.50 for issuing a certificate
- stamp worth € 132.50, if the child is more than 14 years old
- the following documents not older than 90 days:
- child´s birth certificate apostilled and officially translated into the Slovak language by Slovak translator
- declaration of honour of parents that the child is free with officially verified signatures of parents or father (applicant), apostilled and officially translated into the Slovak language by Slovak translator
- in case of a child at the age of 15 criminal records certificate of the mother country as well as of the country where he stayed more than 90 days during the last 6 months three years back. The listings must be apostilled and officially translated into the Slovak language by Slovak translator.
- confirmation of account balance kept in a bank in the name of the father (applicant) confirming the financial security of at least 12 times of the living wage (€ 189.09), i.e. at least € 2,270 per person (i.e. required treble for 3 persons). In this case is also required the declaration of honour of the child´s father that will secure the child financially and materially during the stay in the territory of the Slovak republic.
- declaration of honour of the child’s father as the owner of the apartment that will provide the child the accommodation during the stay in the territory of the Slovak republic or for an unlimited time, attested by extract from the title deed applicable for legal acts (not sufficient from the Internet)
The data referred to in the submitted documents must agree with the information in the application and the travel document.
